Our advocacy team

Patients drive our advocacy work.

The Patient Advocacy team at Day One works to ensure that the perspectives of patients and families inform company decision-making at every level. We do this by cultivating meaningful partnerships with the pediatric cancer community and bridging the gap between them and internal Day One teams. Together, we strive to advance our shared goals for the benefit of children with cancer and their families.

Supporting the Community

To ensure that we support the pediatric cancer community in the most meaningful and thoughtful way, we asked the community what matters most to them when engaging with a pharmaceutical company.

What they shared is now reflected in our four Patient Advocacy Engagement Principles:

COMMUNICATE
PARTICIPATE
SHARE OUR STRENGTHS
BE INCLUSIVE

These principles are based on mutual respect, transparent and authentic communications, and long-term partnerships and collaboration to take on the enormous challenges facing children with cancer and their families.

“I work closely with advocates, patients, and caregivers across pediatric cancers, and I have the privilege of bringing them together along with Day One and sharing the expertise and resources we have as an industry partner to work together to advance our shared goals.”

Christa Kerkorian,

Vice President of Patient Advocacy

“My brother is a childhood cancer survivor, so I’ve watched firsthand someone who is too young to receive a diagnosis, go through grueling treatments and have lifelong effects. To have the opportunity to help families going through a cancer diagnosis is an honor and what pushes me forward everyday.”

Kelli Wright,
Director of Patient Advocacy
